Toasted bread with tuna and poached egg

Time: 30 min


Ingredients for four people

  • 1 thick slice of homebaked bread
  • Tube of Rio Mare Tuna Paté
  • 1 egg - ½ red onion - handful of lettuce
  • leaves
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar
  • salt
  • freschly ground black pepper


1. Toast the bread over a grill. In the meantime, thinly slice the onion and brown in a pan with a little oil and salt until translucid. 

2. Brint a pot of water and vinegar to a boil; when boiling, crack the egg into the water and cook for 3 minutes until the egg white sets. 

3. Place the lettuce on the bread, spread over a generous helping of tuna paté, then add the egg and complete with the browned onions, condiments and a little pepper. Serve immediately

Mise en Place:

Apple juice chilled with plenty of ice.
